We are taking measures in response to the pandemic to keep our office safe. Some of these steps are happening behind the scenes, like adjusting our schedule to reduce the number of people in the office at a given time and to allow extra time for augmented disinfection protocols.
Here are some of the changes you can expect to notice, and the things you can do to help us keep you safe at your next appointment:
•. We will ask you a series of pre-screening questions over the phone
•. We will request that you come alone to your appointment, or with one guardian for a child (we would prefer, but won’t insist that guardian wait in the car)
•. Wait in your car until we call, text, or come to get you
•. Please wear a mask when you enter the office
•. As you enter, clean your hands at the hand sanitation station
•. Come up to the desk to have your temperature taken
•. Put on a pair of gloves before filling out a screening and consent form
•. Keep your gloves on as we bring you back to the treatment room
•. Rinse twice for 60 seconds each with anti-microbial rinse
•. Notice that we will be wearing a higher level of personal protective equipment than usual
•. We may use equipment or techniques designed to reduce or eliminate air/water spray created by our instruments (when we start using these instruments again in the future)
We appreciate your trust in us to take care your dental needs. As health care professionals, we are dedicated to your safety and wellness. I thank you in advance for you compliance in these measures. We have implemented them with great care and consideration and we will continue to evaluate and update our protocols as our understanding of this virus evolves. I look forward to seeing you again soon. Stay healthy!
